Welcome to the Social Worker's Role in Oral Health!
Oral health is a core component of overall health. An unhealthy mouth can negatively impact overall health, functioning, and well-being.
Social Workers can play a key role in improving their clients’ health and wellbeing, by looking for signs of oral health neglect or need, and integrating oral health education into their client interactions.
This course can give you a better understanding of the connections between oral health and the well-being of the individuals, families, and communities you serve. And, you will be able to walk away with practical tools you can use with clients. This course should take you about 1.5 hours to complete, including lessons to check your knowledge along the way.
This program has been approved for 1.5 Continuing Education Credit Hours by NASW/CT and meets the continuing education criteria for Social Work Licensure renewal.
