The Community Health Worker's Role in Oral Health

Description
Welcome to the Community Health Worker's Role in Oral Health!

Oral health is a core component of overall health. An unhealthy mouth can negatively impact overall health, functioning, and well-being.

Community Health Workers are on the front lines in providing vital, culturally competent health care services to our most underserved populations. You can play a key role in improving your clients’ health and wellbeing, by looking for signs of oral health neglect or need, and integrating oral health education into your client interactions.

This course can give you a better understanding of the connections between oral health and the well-being of the individuals, families, and communities you serve. You will be able to walk away with practical tools you can use with clients. This course should take you about 1.5 hour to complete, including lessons to check your knowledge along the way.
